STATISTICS
Character Name: Domingos Choi
Character Canon: Original
Character Age: 17, turning 18 on September 4th
Canon Point: Just finishing his last year of high school in 1998.
Link to History: Link
Skills: Dancing (hip-hop and waacking). Speaks Portuguese (first language), English and some Cantonese.
Abilities: Dom is a witch. A very inexperienced one.
low-level charms, spells and curses. Generally not fluent in magic, would be able to build on his proficiency if another magical character took him on as a student. Dom has the potential to do pretty much anything related to witchcraft, but realistically he can't gain expertise on all of it. Dom has been known to specifically practice the following:
divination; finding objects or people through a ritual and focus
healing; already heals fast thanks to being a werewolf, but can flow this into other people as well
glamor; his hair (and the werewolf's fur) is permanently pink due to a magic spell gone wrong
telekinesis/pyrokinesis; only able to light candles and move small objects at this point.
note — channeling darker magic can enhance strength and durability and be channeled into hexes, but has addictive/corruptive effects.
Dom has been marked with the sigil of wrath.
A permanent mark on his hip, 'thrumming' with bad energy.
It allows him to channel energy through related emotions.
He can passively influence people around him to heighten negative emotions, usually manifesting in a bad temper, losing patience quickly, being confrontational or less conflict adverse, agitation and irritability. He doesn't cause them to break into a fight outright, but creates the conditions for it.
This power is amplified when he loses control of his own emotions.
Thanks to the ritual that got him the sigil and granted them this wish: Dom can partially transform and/or fully transform into a werewolf with his mind intact, as long as there isn't a full moon. He is learning to harness this ability.
Dom is also a werewolf.
In both forms: warm body, self-healing, heightened senses (including knowing someone is sick or if they're lying). Sensitive to silver and wolfsbane, leaving marks on his skin that need to be healed. Is susceptible to people who can magically influence animals. Jumps really fucking high. Delayed appearance of blood from injuries. No chocolate (unless it's the super artificial stuff that's fine). Doesn't like fireworks. Leg twitches when ear is scratched.
In werewolf form: Dies to silver through the heart, or a strike in the head three times with a knife. Also sensitive to wolfsbane, silver - all are incredibly painful and what his mothers use to keep him from escaping. Appearance!! Think Princess Mononoke in terms of size. Except pink.
How the moon influences him: As it gets close to being full, he starts to display agitation, irritability, has insomnia, excess energy and a higher sex drive. During the full moon he loses any human thoughts as he turns into his full werewolf form, tries to break free and runs around, destroying and killing everything that crosses his path. Soon as the sun comes up, the werewolf form melts off him like its skin is boiling, and he wakes up back in human form. The days leading up to the new moon increase depression and apathy and leave him with low energy and low appetite.
Curse Mark: Niez, on the knuckle of his right middle finger.

CHARACTERIZATION
FORMATIVE EXPERIENCES:
PHILOSOPHY:
Dom is a lonely kid who's learned to rely on very few people throughout his life. Carrying such a huge secret — mainly the werewolf curse — on top of being a witch is a full time job that keeps people at a distance to minimize risk for everyone involved. He criticizes himself a lot for it (considering himself a monster) and carries plenty of angst on top. It's hard to trust others, especially grown adults, whereas it's easier to connect with those his age. His mothers taught him things, inadvertently or not, that he carries with him: that women deserve respect, that male witches aren't particularly great at magic, that magic deserves respect, that he's got an awful curse that he needs to hide at all costs, and that it's easy okay to be hurt if it's for your own good. The last one is because they've used silver against him and the werewolf form in the past.
DESIRES:
On the other hand, as a lonely boy, Dom craves a sense of belonging. His mother and step-mother have been his only family for the majority of his life, and they never taught him magic due to their prejudice against male witches. Dom finally found a coven in New Jersey; he found a boyfriend and made deeper connections than he thought possible. Still, he can't shake off the feeling he'll always be 'the new guy', the one they wouldn't have brought if they had all the people they needed for the ritual. He desires to have control over the beast, to be conscious when he transforms and know what that kind of power feels like. He desires to become good at magic. He desires a future where he can make a career out of dancing in his favorite styles.
FEARS:
He is incredibly afraid of silver. He's afraid of his own impulses and appetite for both sex and violence, often suppressing invasive thoughts pertaining to both. He fears losing control to the beast forever. He dreads the lead up to each full moon, has nightmares of waking up covered in his loved one's blood. He fears losing the people he has, be it to death, or due to burning bridges over some stupid fights due to his temper. Dom doesn't remember the night his father was killed, but he has nightmares about being with him and attacked by werewolves all the same. His father was the only person who called Dom by his Chinese name (Siu Ming), so hearing it also makes him feel sadness and dread.
WRONGS:
Even without the wrath sigil, Dom was already getting into trouble due to his temper. It's made worse every time the full moon is a couple of days away, leaving him more irritated and with very little patience. Dom has had numerous fights, from verbal to physical, including his own boyfriend. His mothers and Teddie have been helping him manage and stabilize, but they aren't always successful. In addition to this, the werewolf has hurt a lot of animals, hunting only for the sake of violence. It miraculously has yet to kill a human, but there's an ever-lingering potential for that. Dom has had an attraction to blood and marking people with bites and scratches ever since he became sexually active.
- FIRST EVENT: - The death of his father. Dom wasn't even ten years old when he was walking around Macau with his father and they were attacked by a giant wolf creature. His father did not survive the attack, but a small Dom did, with a giant bite wound on his torso. He was saved by a mysterious hunter who took out the werewolf and made sure the young boy was found and taken to the hospital. This was the turning point of his life in more ways than one, as he lost his father and was infected with the werewolf's curse. Dom never learned the identity of the person who took out the first werewolf.
- SECOND EVENT: - Moving to the United States. His mother unofficially married another woman, an American witch who suggested they move from Macau to New Jersey when Dom was in his early teens. Needless to say moving from the Pacific to the Atlantic was a pretty big change, friends and familiar spots all left behind. As the New Kid In Town, Dom stumbled into a small group of witches in his high school, all led by Julian Bennet, who was looking for a seventh member in order to perform a certain ritual. Dom entered the coven's lives just in time.
- THIRD EVENT: - Meeting Teddie Weston-Price. One of the witches in the coven, he was the resident rich boy who wanted more than what money could buy. Teddie happened to have the same sort of magic Dom's mothers do ('green'), which is why he survived an encounter against Dom in his werewolf form during a night where it escaped - his magic was calming to the beast. After taming the wolf, he managed to bring it back home. With the secret out between them, Dom and Teddie became a lot closer, and eventually found themselves in an open relationship with its ups and downs. Teddie is an essential part of Dom's support network throughout the whole cycle - from the days leading up to the full moon to the days leading up to the new moon.
- FOURTH EVENT: - The wish and the sigil. Julian needed seven members in his coven to perform a ritual that would grant each of them an individual wish. This spell was way beyond the league of the majority of the coven's members, but they pulled it off, albeit with unexpected consequences. Each participant was branded with a sigil representing one of the seven sins, with Dom carrying the wrath sigil on his hip. The wish he made was to be able to turn into the werewolf form at will, while being able to retain his mind. He still has to learn how to properly do this. It did not alter what happens to him during the full moon; he's still cursed. He's double cursed now, even. Thanks Julian.

GAMEPLAY
SUITABILITY:
Dom is a teenager carrying a lot of supernatural dark energy with him, and with that come darker impulses, namely for violence. His werewolf side heightens his senses as much as his libido and it's easy for him to get carried away with sex and violence if there's no influence or reminder to pull back. Rubi is the perfect setting to send Dom down the path of indulgence and escalation of these impulses, while its cast can potentially keep him balanced. I can see him participating with a little too much enthusiasm in some of the setting's events and being traumatized by others, and dealing with the aftermath and fallout with angst. Dom is due confronting his darker side to either control it or to let it control him.
SAMPLE: TDM
MONSTER:
Visual inspirations: one, two, three, four, five.
The longer he goes without sating zadza, his body starts to be taken over by what seems like black ooze. As it covers him completely, Dom will feel like he's drowning, and then his body will change shape.
Dom's monster is the Hydra Wolf, an elongated wolf-like beast, covered in different markings and symbols, all seemingly bleeding bright red blood nonstop. If touched or consumed, his blood can amplify the person's desires, namely for lust and indulgence or for pain and aggression. The monster is virtually indestructible in this form, with its only vulnerable parts being the neck and head. However…
If you cut its head off, two more will grow, and so on. It will make the monster seem like a mix of Cerberus and a Hydra, each head independent, sometimes accomplices, somethings competing against one another. In the event that one head severs another, the two-more-will-grow repeats itself. If left alone for too long, this will escalate until he becomes a bouquet of wolf-heads, too long and hungry for both sex and violence.
The monster can also grow extra appendages from the ooze (except new heads, which only grow if one of them is cut off). Growing extra parts includes his sexual organ, which can knot.
The Hydra Wolf seeks both violence and sex and can engage in either one to revert back to his human form.
